Jerome E. Peterson, age 73, of Mt. Vernon, IN went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 6, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Jerry had worked as a truck driver for over 30 years. His passion was woodworking and he loved traveling throughout the country in his RV. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Irma Linda (Baehl) Peterson; six children, Robert (Ava) Peterson, Carol (fiancé`, Larry) Porter, Irene (Mark) Hankins, Jane (Brett) King, Anne (Jason) Gilles and Viola (fiancé`, Larry) Peterson; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren and his bologna eating partner and dog, Chocolate.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Matilda (Konz) Peterson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. James Sauer officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pierre Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
